Biographical Poem

January 3 - February 10

Writing Project:  Receive a lesson on the critical components of writing a biographical sketch.  Use those critical components to write a bio-poem about a person of your choice from the human rights activists list and their contributions to human rights.  This information will be utilized to make a human rights contributions timeline.

In addition to being biographically accurate, the bio--poem should contain at least three of the following elements of poetry so that it will be not only informative, but also stylistically creative in its use of language.

Alliteration, rhyme, hyperbole, imagery, metaphor, repetition, symbolism, simile, tone, mood, figurative language, puns, onomatopoeia...
